About Bethlehem

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name
of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

- Colossians 3:17

Bethlehem Lutheran Church was founded in 1854 by a small group of German immigrants.
In the past century and a half, we have grown from a congregation whose first services were
held in the back of a harness shop to one with a ministry that is rooted in our immediate
neighborhood and branches out through Middletown and into surrounding counties.

BLC is committed to sharing God’s love with the world in the name of Jesus.
We partner with numerous community services, including Hope House, Wernle Home,
Shared Harvest, and MALACHI.  We would love to have you become a part of our
efforts to share God’s love with the world by serving others!

Interested in getting married at Bethlehem?  Or in using our theater space for a recital or show?
Contact the church office for details and to get your event on the calendar!
